Acceptable Use Policy

Effective November 4, 2026

This policy explains what you may and may not do on ComputeSphere. It is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses our websites, platform, APIs, CLI and integrations. “You” includes anyone you let use your account, and the users of anything you deploy.

The short version

  • Build and run your own software on ComputeSphere.
  • Don’t use it to harm others, to attack us or our other customers, or to hand our platform to the public in ways it isn’t designed for.
  • If you’re not sure whether something is allowed, ask us at [email protected] before you deploy it.

1. Illegal, harmful or abusive content

You may not use ComputeSphere to host, send or distribute:

  • anything illegal where you or your users are, or in the United States;
  • child sexual abuse material. We report it to the authorities;
  • content that infringes someone’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
  • malware, ransomware, spyware or other harmful code, for any purpose, including security research or testing;
  • content that harasses, threatens or incites violence against people;
  • personal data you have no right to collect or process.

2. Spam, phishing and fraud

You may not:

  • send unsolicited bulk email or messages, or run services that help others do so;
  • run phishing pages, or impersonate another company, brand or person;
  • run scams, fake shops, payment fraud, card testing or account takeovers;
  • sign up with false details, stolen payment methods or someone else’s identity, or open accounts to get around a suspension or a trial limit.

3. Attacks and abuse of networks

You may not use ComputeSphere to:

  • scan, probe or attack systems you don’t own or aren’t authorized to test in writing;
  • run denial-of-service attacks, botnets or command-and-control servers;
  • send traffic designed to hide its origin from the systems it reaches;
  • crack passwords, stuff credentials or brute-force logins against others.

4. Protecting the platform and other customers

You may not:

  • try to get around our security, isolation, limits or billing: for example, by reaching other customers’ services, data or networks, our internal systems or our cloud providers’ metadata services;
  • probe, scan or test ComputeSphere itself for vulnerabilities, except as our responsible disclosure terms allow;
  • interfere with the platform’s operation or with other customers’ use of it;
  • use more resources than your plan allows by evading our controls.

5. Services we don’t allow

Unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing, you may not run:

  • any proxy, VPN, tunnel or relay service. This includes:
    • forward or open proxies (HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS);
    • VPN servers (WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec, V2Ray/VLESS/VMess, Shadowsocks, Trojan and similar);
    • Tor relays, bridges and exit nodes;
    • traffic tunnels;
    • services that route other people’s or other systems’ traffic through ComputeSphere or hide where it comes from.

    It applies whether the service is free, paid, public or limited to your own team.

    The only exception: a reverse proxy, load balancer or API gateway that sits in front of your own application on ComputeSphere and serves only that application’s traffic (for example nginx routing requests to your services). Anything else needs our written approval before you deploy it;

  • cryptocurrency mining, or proof-of-space/storage farming;
  • reselling or re-hosting: offering ComputeSphere’s compute, storage or databases to others as a hosting service of your own;
  • file-sharing or seedbox services for content you don’t have the rights to;
  • open relays of any kind (mail, DNS resolvers, SOCKS).

6. Resource use and fair use

Plans include fair-use limits so the platform stays fast for everyone. Workloads that consume resources far beyond what’s normal for their plan, or that degrade other customers’ services, may be slowed, paused or moved to a suitable plan. We’ll contact you first when we can.

7. Your users

If you let others use your apps on ComputeSphere, you’re responsible for their use too. Please have your own terms and a way to deal with abuse reported to you.

8. How we enforce this policy

We review reports and our own signals, and act in proportion to the risk:

  1. Contact: for most issues we email the account owner and ask you to fix it.
  2. Pause: we may pause the affected service, or hold the account so nothing new starts, while we look into it. We do this without notice when there’s a risk to the platform, to other customers or to the public, or when the law requires it.
  3. End a trial or close an account: for serious or repeated violations, we may end a free trial or close the account under our Terms.

Pausing keeps your configuration and data. Closing follows the data rules in our Terms. We may also report illegal activity to the authorities, and share information when the law requires it.

9. Appeals

If you think we made a mistake, reply to our email or write to [email protected] with your account and what the service is for. A person reviews every appeal, and we’ll restore anything paused in error.

10. Reporting abuse

To report abuse coming from a ComputeSphere service, email [email protected] with the address or URL, the time (with timezone) and what happened. For security vulnerabilities in ComputeSphere itself, email [email protected].

11. Changes

We may update this policy. We’ll post the new version here with its effective date. For material changes, we’ll notify account owners by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect, unless a change is needed sooner for safety or legal reasons.
